Scenic Ride Through the Korčula Archipelago
Join us on a scenic ride through the Korčula archipelago, which includes about twenty smaller islands, islets, and rocks, creating a unique oasis of beauty.
Exploring Badija Island
Among the most famous islands is Badija, home to a Franciscan monastery dating back to the 15th century. From 1949 to 2002, Badija served as a sports and recreation center for many Croatian and former Yugoslav sports stars.
The Inhabited Island of Vrnik
Next, we will visit the only inhabited island of the archipelago, Vrnik. This island features two quarries that supplied stone for the construction of iconic landmarks, including Korčula, Dubrovnik, Hagia Sophia, the White House, and many other famous buildings around the globe. Additionally, the stone from Vrnik is renowned for its quality and whiteness.
The Mysterious Islet of Majsan
The third major islet is Majsan, which contains an underexplored prehistoric site that is still being investigated. Notably, each island has its unique anecdotes and history, enriching your experience.
Rich Vegetation and Clear Waters
The vegetation across all islands is rich and varied, with vineyards planted on some. Moreover, the strong currents surrounding these islands contribute to the clean, clear blue-green waters.
Visit to Lumbarda
Finally, we’ll take you to Lumbarda, the first Greek colony in the Adriatic Sea. Here, you can admire the summer homes of old aristocratic families and the unique vineyards that produce the famous wine, Grk. Before we return, you will have free time for walking or swimming on the beautiful sandy beaches.
